From the perspective of the central Conservative Party, the organisation exists as a political discussion forum, to keep Conservative supporters in touch with domestic British politics, to campaign for the votes of the British expatriate community, and increased registered voters in those communities. Conservatives Abroad also serves its members' interests by raising with Conservative politicians issues facing Britons living overseas, and by lobbying to reform overseas voting laws.〔http://www.conservativesabroad.org/about〕
